This is the first installment in a recurring series for the Blogcast Boys. Here we'll be giving you guys songs currently in our rotation. Our goal here isn't to introduce new music to you because these songs will have no limit on eras or genres. So pass the aux our way and let's get started.

1. My Sweet Lord - George Harrison

2. Wham Bam Shang-A-Lang - Silver

3. The Chain - Fleetwood Mac

4. Offshore (feat. Young Thug) - From Swaecation

5. From the Fires - Greta Van Fleet

6. This is America - Childish Gambino

7. Honeymoon Avenue - Ariana Grande

(1-3) Turns out I was big sleep on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. I was a big fan of the first installment not only for the movie itself but the chart topping, platinum soundtrack album. In the movie Chris Pratt's character Quil, who owns just one cassette, given to him by his mom just before her death: the homemade "Awesome Mix Vol. 1." was filled with eight-track-era songs that you've probably heard but probably didn't know the name of. The same goes for "Awesome Mix Vol. 2." This time the soundtrack included songs from superstar acts like George Harrison's "My Sweet Lord" and Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain." It also included 1976's "Wham Bam Shang-A-Lang," by one-hit-wonder Silver and for that I am thankful. You can watch Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 on Netflix and listen to the complete mixtape for both movies here. (@alecbruins)

(4) Offshore (feat. Young Thug) - From Swaecation

It's amusing to see people will still bore themselves with artists like J. Cole but refuse to accept how incredibly talented Young Thug is. Thug is the lone feature on Swae Lee's solo project Swaecation, which is 1/3 of SR3MM. While Swae has mastered this hypnotic island sound with hits like Unforgettable and Guatemala he definitely takes a backseat to Thugger on the song "Offshore." Young Thug's verse is extensive (3 minutes) but he's so focused in his delivery it hardly seems that way. The songs relaxed ambience makes you feel like you're floating while still radiating summer vibes. (@alecbruins)

(5) From the Fires - Greta Van Fleet

From the Fires has been in rotation for weeks and it’s not going anywhere anytime soon. It’s the first full album from Greta Van Fleet, the uber young rock band from Michigan who’s taking the music scene by storm thanks to their authentic resemblance of Led Zeppelin. Their sound is refreshing to say the least in an era overrun by rap and edm. If you like Zeppelin or have a pulse you’ll eat this up. (@iirenzo)

(6) This is America - Childish Gambino

Gambino comes through with an early front runner for banger of the year. Every risk Gambino takes on this track works. A gospel choir/trap banger assisted by ad-libs by some of the hottest Atlanta rappers in the game, this song never gets boring. Try not to hit the replay button with this one. Not to mention the music video for this track is one of the greatest I've ever seen. True visionary shit. (@abel_figgy)

(7) Honeymoon Avenue - Ariana Grande

The song speaks for itself. (@adammanziel)
